Today we are reflecting back on the craziness of the last year with some super highs and as is so often the case in life some lows.
We are thrilled to have finally launched our business for the 2017 Christmas season and see all we have been working on in the past year being so well received. We launched out first collection of products at OUTLAW & then the Exchange MAKERS MARKET which was loads of fun, OUTLAW being quite the baptism of fire, it was crazy busy! We also made the move from our dinky temporary studio into a new studio with much more space. Such luxury being able to spread out although a bit of an undertaking as it needs lots of work! Our little paper goods business has been so well received and we all but sold out of products by Christmas, we really couldn't have hoped for a more positive reaction.
This brings us to the lows, one half of the Miel duo really went through the mill at the end of last year meaning everything has been very uncertain and all that has been important these past couple of months has been her and her families health. Times like these really put everything in perspective and remind you its not worth your time to sweat the small stuff and we need to be kind to ourselves and each other.
Looking Forwards - Most importantly said half is back to full health and although her and her little family still have quite the journey ahead of them things are looking tentatively positive. In the mean time we will be forging ahead with Miel Studio. I will be attempting to keep on top of the day to day stuff and we will be carrying on with all our exciting plans in anticipation of being reunited, by which time there should be some wonderful news to share.
We have some brilliant projects in the pipeline including a collaboration with an amazing shop, alongside getting the studio open to the public one day a week, launching our web shop, refining our first collection and gathering inspiration for a new one!
